Trying to create an Online Business from scratch using Word Press/Word Press Direct is an audacious undertaking when computer saavy is not prominent on any CV you have.
So many different business model programs arrive in my inbox and they all promote how to set up your own website with their particular tools, software, community forums and help desks. Promises of how fast, easy, cheap or even free it can be to earn an income online with very little effort abound.
All these programs are propelled by people who have the knowledge and expertise in all or most of the functions required to build and promote websites. Many of those who join these programs will have a reasonable knowledge of computer terminology and will understand and be able to implement most of the functions.When they encounter a problem and seek help they will understand the answer and correct their problem fairly easily.
Many others who take up the challenge of these offers are like me to varying degrees and have a limited knowledge and an abundance of ignorance about computer terminology and it's application. Unfortunately when we seek help (often) the answers are not very helpful if there is no broad explanation. Sometimes the answer creates more questions and the whole process seems to become a vicious circle aimed at creating self doubt.
So many innocent, stupid or silly mistakes are made by all these fledgling Online Business creators and the truly determined win through in the end. The best part is that once a concept/function is mastered and the joy of accomplishment subsides we know we will never forget the lesson.
When joining a program it is wise to remember that price does not reflect value and a money back trial period is a sensible option. Online Marketing, like anything else takes hard work and determination to achieve success and give a wide berth to all who claim otherwise.
