Why an Auto Responder is a Must.
If you are starting an Internet business you will soon learn that email can be your friend and your worst enemy. You will see why an autoresponder is a must. With a business with a fair amount of traffic there is a good chance there will be a mountain of email. An autoresponder can lighten the load.
Even when it takes a real person to answer questions as in customer support an auto responder can be set up to ease the mind of a customer by reassuring them that someone will be in contact with them as soon as possible. This is just one reason why an autoresponder is a must. If they receive an email soon after they send in a ticket or contact customer support it will keep them much happier by knowing their email has been received. The autoresponder has done its job, the rest is up to you.
I know when I first started out online I had no idea what an auto responder was or what it was used for. For those of you who are just as green as I was, let me fill you in. It is automated system that has a prewritten email and is ready to send that email when triggered by a preprogrammed date, or triggered by an incoming email. It may sound complicated but it is set up very easily. Once you start using an autoresponder you will soon come to see why an auto responder is a must.
If you plan on building a list an autoresponder is a must. By the way I think building a list is one of the most important things you can do as an Internet business person. You must have heard the saying "the money is in the list", this is true. More on list building in another newsletter.
Some good reasons an autoresponder is an essential part of an Internet business.
* It collects name and email addresses of possible customers.
* It can send out your newsletter at a predetermined date. (A great way to keep in touch with your clients and customers)
* It can be set up to send out flyers and promotions for your business
* It can blast out a message to your list which it has collected for you, any time you wish.
* You can create a course which is distributed by your autoresponder. Once set up, it is fully automated and can be working for you for weeks, months and even years to come.
Whether you are solely an Internet marketer or you are the owner of a brick and mortar establishment, if you want to compete on the Internet, an autoresponder is a must. It helps build a relationship with your prospects, clients or customers.
Autoresponder Tips:
* Attach a signature to every email you send out. This helps the people on your list identify you. Keep this signature around 6 to 7 lines and approximately 60 characters per line.
* Use the same some short text in the subject line so people will recognize who you are and what they are getting. An example would be [Joe's News] "Short Catchy Headline Here"
* Test the auto responder message to see if your links, phone numbers or other important information is getting cut off and sent to the next line.
Autoresponders are a very effective and an extremely powerful marketing tool. In my opinion if you have any type of an Internet business, you will soon see why an autoresponder is a must.
